Upstream's client, a publicly-traded global leader in mining exploration products and services, implemented a recapitalization to reduce debt and support a strategic growth investment. The company owned an extensive portfolio of patents and trademarks, and Upstream was engaged to provide a valuation of these IP assets for the purposes of supporting the recapitalization.

OUR ANALYSIS

Upstream conducted an analysis of the company’s historical financial records and  worked with the company to finalize pro forma financials, aligning the company’s IP assets with business lines and economic impact.
