Expert testimony from Upstream Partners’ Mark Chandler in jury trial that awarded VLSI $2.175 billion in damages
Mark Chandler, Managing Director of Upstream Partners, provided analysis and trial testimony on behalf of VLSI Technology in patent litigation with regard to Intel microprocessors.
Upstream provided analysis on matters of patent licensing practices as part of the VLSI damages case in the matter. The litigation involved two separate U.S. patents on technologies that provide power savings and performance improvement in microprocessors.
Mr. Chandler submitted an expert report and provided deposition testimony on his analysis, and he testified as the final witness of the six-day jury trial in the Western District of Texas. Juhee Park lead a team of Upstream analysts supporting Mr. Chandler’s analysis. The jury award of $2.175 billion was one of the largest for patent infringement in U.S. history.
