Geriatric Care Transition Model Sale
To improve the transition of care for geriatric patients, a university affiliated company sought out Upstream to provide a comprehensive identification of its intellectual property (IP) assets and to value these assets for a contemplated sale. The team had developed a patient-centered intervention model designed to improve quality and manage costs for patients with complex care needs as they transition across settings.
Upstream prepared a comprehensive IP Asset Catalogue and prepared a valuation of these assets for the sale process. The IP assets included copyright protected training materials, care manuals, training handouts and worksheets, videos and trademarks.
Upstream organized and ran a sales process. We created a data room which included documents for potential buyers, an outline of value proposition, and a summary of copyrights, trademarks and other assets. We negotiated with several interested acquirers and were successful in selling the assets in a timely manner.
