Jury Awards Touchstream $338.7 Million against Google
Expert testimony from Upstream Partners’ Mark Chandler in jury trial that awarded VLSI $338.7 million in damages.
Mark Chandler, Managing Director of Upstream Partners, provided analysis and trial testimony on damages on behalf of Touchstream Technology in patent litigation against Google related to video streaming technology.
Upstream worked with the law firm of Shook, Hardy, and Bacon and provided analysis on patent damages related to the alleged infringement of patents for mobile casting, U.S. Patent Nos. 8,356,251; 8,782,528; and 8,904,289. This included analysis of the economic contribution of the patented technology in Chromecast digital media players.
Mr. Chandler submitted an expert report and provided damages testimony at deposition and at trial in the Western District of Texas. Mr. Chandler’s analysis was supported by a team of Upstream analysts led by Juhee Park. The jury awarded damages of $338.7 million.
