BACKGROUND
Upstream's client, an Asian research institute, was seeking assistance in developing a financial model and business plan for a cardiovascular medical device.
OUR ANALYSIS
Upstream worked with the research team and Institute personnel and prepared:
A detailed financial model for which we determined regulatory approval timeframes, competing approaches, and benchmark acquisitions,
A detailed business plan that the institute used to secure capital for a spin-out venture, and
Slide deck and supporting materials for discussions with potential investors
OUTCOME
Institute personnel used Upstream's plan and materials to form a company and secure start-up capital.
