IP Assets in Population Health Management
Upstream Partners helped a health care provider identify and protect its intellectual property (IP) assets, in order to recognize, preserve, and increase the value of the company’s intangible assets.
Upstream conducted an audit of a non-for-profit company in health care predictive analytics and patient health care programs, in order to help the company identify and value its IP assets, as well as the data it had produced, and continues to produce, through its analytics and care plans. This included a deep review of proprietary algorithms, data structures, and data content.
It is critical that the company protects and prevents its IP from being copied, adopted and leaked, which requires identification and cataloguing its IP. It is also critical that this be updated on a regular and periodic basis.
